Community Support
As CEO of Critical Preparedness, LLC, we enjoy being able to give back to the community. This year we selected a number of non-profit organizations to donate funds and supplies to.
“Mrs. Claus in the House”
The CEO of Critical Preparedness, delivering gifts and financial donation in support of the 2023 “Brown Santa” program, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that is sponsored by the Travis County Sheriff’s Office (Texas). The program provides assistance with gifts and food during the holiday season to families and elderly citizens in Travis County primarily living outside the geographic city limits of Austin. All of this is possible with donations and support from local merchants and community members. This community event is supported by the community, for the community.
“Pro Bono” support of Local Law Enforcement
As our way of giving back to our community, Critical Preparedness, LLC will be working with an Austin area Law Enforcement Agency to Design, Facilitate, and Evaluate a Tabletop Exercise (pro bono). The tentative schedule is for the Exercise Planning Meetings to begin in the 2Q 2024, with the exercise being conducted in either 3Q or 4Q 2024.
Our CEO, Donna Hurley commented, “these exercises are crucial as agencies continue to train and learn. We have offered to lead the Planning Meetings, Design the exercise, provide a Facilitator and an Observer, and work with this agency to author an After-Action Report and Improvement Plan(AAR/IP).”
BIG (Brookwood in Georgetown)
My true passion has always been working with Special Needs Adults. I have always been an advocate of this often under-represented group, to ensure that they have a voice. As CEO of Critical Preparedness, LLC, as part of our LLC giving back to the community, we continue to donate to BIG (Brookwood in Georgetown), whose motto is “Where adults with special needs contribute to the world”. Our donations were again in the name of ‘Toi’, who just fills the room with smiles when she is in the room.
