The level of Preparedness and the ability to quickly Respond directly impacts the ability to Recover in an expeditious manner. Recovery is the actions taken to return the organization or community to the ‘status quo’. The recovery phase occurs after an emergency has occurred. Recovery involves rebuilding and making sure critical infrastructure and key resources (CI/KR) return to being functional, and steps are towards economic recovery.
